Jonathan Ritz is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Writing, Rhetoric, and American Cultures, where he teaches “Peacemaking as Rhetorical Practice,” a professional writing course cross-listed in the Peace and Justice Studies program. His primary focus as a writer is creative nonfiction and the personal essay. His work appears in literary quarterlies and magazines and has earned two Pushcart Prize nominations in nonfiction. He also works in multimedia writing, digital production, and is interested in the intersections of literature, composition, and spirituality.
